Details

Reddit is a community of communities built on shared interests, passion, and trust. With 100,000+ active communities and approximately 116 million daily active unique visitors, Reddit is one of the internet’s largest sources of information.

We are looking for a Community Growth Analyst to join the Community Strategy and Insights team. This is a highly cross-functional role that sits at the heart of our growth engine, working closely with Community Marketing, Data Science, UXR, Success, and Growth teams. The team provides dashboards, reports, and analytical consulting to help the organization understand the "why" behind community behavior. As an Analyst, you'll act as an internal consultant, identifying levers for community expansion, moderation health, and contributor retention.

Responsibilities

  • Analytical Consulting: Serve as the dedicated data partner for the Community Growth and Marketing teams. Translate vague business questions (e.g., "How do we increase moderator retention?") into structured analytical projects.
  • Full-Funnel Measurement: Build and maintain automated dashboards that track the lifecycle of a community from subreddit creation and early adoption to maturity and "thriving" status.
  • Insight Generation: Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify patterns in moderation, contribution, and engagement that correlate with long-term community health; go beyond the "what" to the "so what."
  • Cross-Functional Reporting: Partner with Data Science to ensure community metrics align with company-wide North Star metrics. Deliver regular reports to leadership quantifying the impact of community initiatives.
  • Experimentation Support: Work with Community Lifecycle teams to design, track, and analyze community-facing experiments to ensure rapid learning and scaling of what works.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and insights and provide analytical consulting to the Community team to increase understanding of Reddit’s community ecosystem, moderation, and contribution.

Requirements

  • Experience: 4–7+ years in data analytics, growth marketing, or community insights with a track record of driving business decisions through data.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level SQL is a must. Proficiency with databases and data visualization tools is required. Examples called out: BigQuery, HubSpot, Zendesk, Salesforce. Experience with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis is highly preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to provide a point of view from data and see patterns in massive datasets.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally (Community Product Marketing, Lifecycle, Data Science, UXR, Community Success and Community Growth), explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences, and validate qualitative trends with quantitative data.
  • Reddit Knowledge: Deep understanding of Reddit’s unique community dynamics (moderation, karma, subreddits) is a strong plus.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits and income replacement programs
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Global benefit programs (workspace, professional development, caregiving support)
  • Family planning support and gender-affirming care
  • Mental health & coaching benefits
  • Flexible vacation & paid volunteer time off
  • Generous paid parental leave

Pay Transparency

Base pay range for this U.S.-based position: $132,600 - $185,600 USD.
