You will act as the right hand, trusted advisor, and representative of the Global Tribe Lead of the ING Private Cloud (IPC). You will work closely with the Tribe Lead to help manage the Tribe effectively and be in regular contact with IPC stakeholders, including CIOs and IT Leads of 16+ ING entities running on IPC. The role operates at senior management level within ING's Global Infrastructure organization.

Organizational context

ING Private Cloud is ING’s global private cloud platform providing secure, scalable infrastructure services to many parts of the bank. The Tribe Cloud team has around 310 people across five areas, with most colleagues based in the Netherlands and teams in Poland, Belgium, Romania, Spain, Turkey and Manila. The MT includes five IT Area Leads, the Tribe Lead, and the Consultant. The Tribe Lead reports to the CIO of Global Infrastructure, who reports to the CTO.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic support & execution

    • Serve as a trusted sparring partner and right hand to the Global Head of IPC and a key coordinator for the Management Team (MT).
    • Support definition, execution and monitoring of strategic goals and priorities.
    • Drive initiatives such as establishing a Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process, guiding major consulting projects and supporting complex migration programs.
    • Bridge gaps by spotting opportunities and turning them into outcomes.
  • Operational excellence

    • Operate at senior management level on topics related to HR, Finance, Risk, Operations, Marketing & Communication and Regulatory Affairs.
    • Prepare and facilitate meetings: management team sessions, townhalls, offsites; chair the weekly MT meeting and ensure follow-up on actions and decisions.
    • Draft reports, presentations and briefing materials for senior stakeholders and prepare materials for high-level meetings (Supervisory Board, Management Board Banking, ECB, MT CTO and various steercos and boards).
    • Ensure consistency and quality in management reporting and KPIs.
  • Project & portfolio management

    • Lead or support cross-functional projects and initiatives across the department.
    • Help coordinate dynamic planning (DP) and forecasting processes.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and impact.
  • Stakeholder management & engagement

    • Act as a linking pin between departments, countries and functions.
    • Build and maintain internal networks and represent the department in program boards and steering committees.
  • Culture & events

    • Organize and coordinate events such as department celebrations, the annual Cloud Fun Day and internal conferences.
    • Help shape a positive and engaging team culture and ensure colleagues across hubs and cultures feel connected.

Profile

  • At least 2–4 years of professional experience in an international setting.
  • A Master’s degree or equivalent.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Project- or program-management experience.
  • High proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Affinity with Infrastructure or Cloud is a plus (previous consultants did not have a tech background; success here is driven by curiosity, fast learning and adaptability).
