About the Team

At OpenAI, we believe that artificial general intelligence (AGI) should benefit all of humanity. To realize this vision, the Readiness team drives product adoption, fosters community, and serves as a trusted resource for OpenAI’s enterprise customers. The team aims to reduce time-to-value and enable confident, impactful AI use across industries and personas.

About the Role

You will be a hands-on program manager building the future of AI education as part of the Customer Education team’s Champion Network. The role focuses on designing and scaling learning experiences and community systems so AI Champions (internal program participants) can build skills, foster communities, and share proven practices to accelerate adoption of ChatGPT and related AI tools. This role is based in San Francisco; relocation assistance is offered.

Responsibilities

  • Scale the global Champion Network for AI deployment and adoption, connecting leaders who drive real use of ChatGPT in their organizations.
  • Design and deliver learning and community experiences (journeys, playbooks, challenges, recognition programs) that help Champions make real-world impact with AI.
  • Turn high-touch learnings into repeatable, scalable education and community models that reach thousands through content, programming, and community.
  • Partner with Product and GTM teams to align champion programs with key adoption and success metrics.
  • Develop operational systems that sustain engagement, including communications, measurement, and recognition.
  • Measure and report program impact, using data and feedback to refine and evolve the model.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in education program design, learning communities, or scaled enablement — ideally including technical products and/or AI.
  • Proven success building learning communities that connect education content with participant growth and business impact.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across both technical and business contexts.
  • A systems mindset with experience scaling efficiently through process, tools, and automation.
  • Enthusiasm for helping organizations build AI fluency and lead responsible, sustainable transformation.
  • Proven ability to connect learning programs with business outcomes and measure impact.

Benefits

  • Base compensation listed at $240K (role may include equity and performance-related bonus(es)).
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contributions to Health Savings Accounts.
  • Pre-tax accounts for Health FSA, Dependent Care FSA, and commuter expenses.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Paid parental leave (up to 24 weeks for birth parents and 20 weeks for non-birthing parents); paid medical and caregiver leave (up to 8 weeks).
  • Paid time off: flexible PTO for exempt employees and up to 15 days annually for non-exempt employees; 13+ paid company holidays and periodic office closures.
  • Mental health and wellness support; employer-paid basic life and disability coverage.
  • Annual learning and development stipend; daily meals in offices and meal delivery credits as eligible.
  • Relocation support for eligible employees.
  • Additional fringe benefits (charitable donation matching, wellness stipends) and more details provided during hiring process.
