We’re shaping the way some of the largest organizations in the world manage data by helping customers connect the right data and insights for all Data Citizens. As a Customer Engineer at Collibra you will be the guiding force behind bringing Collibra's product and vision to customers and prospects, establishing trusted technical relationships throughout the customer journey (pre- and post-sale). This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh office; the hybrid model requires working from the office at least two days each week.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely technical expertise on Collibra's products to customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams.
- Create and maintain lab environments and playbooks for successful technical demonstrations and evaluations.
- Deliver product demonstrations and convey product messaging to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Install, configure, integrate, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues with enterprise software solutions.
- Collaborate with Product teams by providing early product feedback, field observations, and customer insights to help shape product direction and competitive advantage.
- Build and maintain knowledgeable and trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years in a technical customer-facing role in enterprise software.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations and explaining complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, integrating, troubleshooting, and diagnosing enterprise software solutions.
- Knowledgeable about use cases, challenges, and technologies in data management, business intelligence, data science, and data analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience is required.
- Able to adapt to new technologies quickly and work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Measures of success
- Within 1 month: clearly explain the value of the Collibra platform and understand key concepts and terminology.
- Within 3 months: present and demo the Collibra Platform focusing on architecture and integration with minimal support.
- Within 6 months: achieve a Collibra certification and be able to explain, present, set up, configure, and troubleshoot Collibra Platform integrations with external systems.
Compensation
- Standard base salary range: $104,000 - $130,000 per year.
- Eligible for additional commission-based compensation.
- Salary offers are based on factors including experience, skills, and location.
- In addition to base salary: equity ownership, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401(k) plans, and more.
