Details

Eneco is on a mission to become a climate-neutral, digital-first energy company and a leader in the European energy transition. Our One Planet strategy drives radical electrification, the phase-out of fossil fuels, and the acceleration of sustainable solutions like green hydrogen and geothermal energy.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join one of our Analytics teams within Eneco’s Tech organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional product teams to turn complex data into meaningful insights that support Eneco’s mission.
You’ll use a wide range of analytical skills—from defining KPIs and creating self-service data models to running experiments and building predictive models. Your work will directly support decision-making in areas like customer decarbonization, sustainable energy generation, and optimization of the energy system.
You’ll be embedded in a product team, surrounded by people who are passionate about building smart digital solutions for a more sustainable future. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across product, business, and tech, and help shape what data-informed impact really looks like.

Is this about you?

You’re driven by making a difference with data. Whether it’s helping a product team define KPIs or exploring a new dataset to unlock insights, you love getting to the “so what” behind the numbers.
You enjoy deep-diving into analytical problems, but you also thrive in team settings—sharing ideas, learning from others, and growing together. You’re comfortable switching between technical detail and strategic discussion, always keeping impact in mind.
Additionally, you bring:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree with a strong quantitative focus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a data role (e.g., Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist).
  • Strong SQL and Python skills, preferably in a cloud-based environment like Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding—ideally in Power BI.
  • Strong business communication and stakeholder management skills.

You’ll be responsible for

  • Understanding your product team’s goals and helping steer data efforts to support them.
  • Partnering with stakeholders on defining the right problems, measuring impact, and setting up success metrics like OKRs and KPIs.
  • Designing and evaluating A/B tests, and promoting a culture of experimentation across the organization.
  • Doing hands-on analytics work—from building pipelines and transforming raw data, to exploring patterns, creating dashboards, and developing statistical models.
  • Communicating your insights clearly through data storytelling and visualizations that support strong business decisions.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior analysts in your team.

This is where you’ll work

You’ll be part of the Data team within Eneco’s Tech organization—a collaborative group of professionals in analytics, data science, data engineering, and machine learning. You’ll join one of our Analytics teams and report to an Analytics Lead who will support your growth and development.
You’ll work day-to-day in a cross-functional product team within a specific Value Stream, such as Customer Experience, Asset Operations, or Finance. You’ll also collaborate with other data colleagues embedded in your team and connect regularly with the broader data community—through initiatives like our weekly Data & Technology Lunches and Tech all-hands.
Together, we support each other in growing our craft, sharing ideas, and using data to drive a smarter, cleaner energy future.

What we have to offer

  • Personal and professional growth, as Eneco is fully committed to helping you in your development.
  • Hybrid working, at home or in the office (40% at the office and 40% at home).
