Shape Eneco’s financial strategy by building trusted data foundations that support key business decisions.
Why choose Eneco?
Delivering on our climate ambitions. At Eneco we’re working hard to achieve our mission: sustainable energy for everyone (see the One Planet Plan). You’ll join an organisation committed to climate neutrality by 2035 and work in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing data community.
Role description
We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join Eneco’s Tech organisation as part of the Enterprise Support Functions value stream supporting Finance, HR, Procurement and ERP. Your initial focus will be the Finance domain. Your main responsibility is to design robust data pipelines and analytics-ready models (Snowflake + dbt) so dashboards and automated reporting are trustworthy and scalable. You will work closely with the Product Manager and Finance stakeholders to define OKRs and KPIs and ensure they are measurable and continuously tracked in Power BI.
You will ensure data from source systems such as SAP, billing platforms and ERP is available, trustworthy and actionable in our data platform. Rather than primarily producing reports, you will build the data foundations that power reporting and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Finance stakeholders and the Product Manager to define OKRs and KPIs and make them measurable through data
- Design and maintain data models and transformations in dbt, ensuring high data quality and scalability
- Collaborate with Data Engineering to extract data from SAP, billing systems and other source systems into Snowflake
- Build and maintain pipelines that are monitored, tested and automated
- Create self-service dashboards and metrics in Power BI, ensuring consistency across Finance
- Drive a modern analytics engineering approach in Finance, including version control, testing and CI/CD for analytics
- Translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights that support Eneco’s strategic decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a strong quantitative or technical focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data role (Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer, BI Analyst)
- Strong SQL and Python skills in a cloud-based environment (examples mentioned: Databricks, Snowflake)
- Experience with dbt and modern analytics engineering practices
- Solid understanding of data modelling (star/snowflake schemas, KPI logic, finance/business processes)
- Experience with Power BI (or similar) to deliver self-service dashboards
- Strong stakeholder skills, especially when collaborating with Finance teams and Product Managers
Nice to have:
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/billing systems
- Familiarity with monitoring pipelines, CI/CD practices, or data observability tools
- Understanding of Finance processes (planning, controlling, accounting)
Where you’ll work
You’ll be part of the Data team within Eneco’s Tech organisation — a cross-functional product team of engineers, a product manager and Finance stakeholders — and connected to a broader data community of analytics, data science, data engineering and machine learning practitioners.
Working pattern
Hybrid working: 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year (max 2 consecutively).
Benefits
- Gross annual salary between €80.000 and €110.000 (including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on role a bonus or collective profit sharing)
- FlexBudget (pay out, buy extra holiday days or save)
- Personal and professional development support
- Hybrid working and flexible schedule to support work-life balance
