Details

The Tribe Daily Banking & Client First, within the Branch Operations & Sales area, is looking for a Data Analyst I. In this role, you will actively contribute to translating the “Together for Progress” strategy into actionable insights for Financial Experts—marking a new chapter in the strategic journey “Banking Made Simple.”

Driven by your passion for:

  • Data & reporting
  • Customers
  • Branch & digital banking (“Mobile First”)

You will support the successful implementation of the Daily Banking product and customer strategy across both statutory and independent branch networks through factual reporting, proactive in-depth analysis, and strategic advice.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Daily Banking Mobile Led strategy by building and maintaining insightful reports focused on Key Performance Indicators using Cognos or other platforms.
  • Run a daily data process that automatically updates all linked reports.
  • Modify or add new or updated simple metrics to the data package and process in close collaboration with data stakeholders from other product tribes and/or data management.
  • Proactively analyze direct metrics and inform stakeholders, often Customer Journey Experts (CJEs) or Content Managers.
  • Occasionally handle AMI requests to deliver specific reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, or at least 3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch and/or French are a plus.
  • Ability to perform sharp analyses based on available data.
  • 1–2 years of demonstrable experience with data analysis using tools such as SQL, SAS, Excel, Cognos, Power BI, or Python.
  • Ability to translate a business question into analytical questions and provide clear, visually appealing answers.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and sense of ownership for assigned projects.
  • Willingness to work 50% time on site at the newly renovated Marnix office in Brussels.

Benefits

  • Play a crucial role in supporting commercial growth objectives in the statutory branch network.
  • Develop expertise in a naturally data-driven and evolving domain.
  • Grow analytical and project management skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Tribe Daily Banking & Client First, Data Management, and other product teams.

The Team

The Data Analysts team consists of 3 data experts in data analysis and process management roles. They provide Senior Management, Regional and Team Leads, and Financial Experts in the ING branch network with insights to improve daily performance, customer processes, and sales. The team is part of the Branch Mobile Sales & Business Intelligence domain and shares responsibility for strategic development and maximizing customer satisfaction, efficiency, and commercial results at branch level.
