Join BUUT’s data team and help build the data capabilities that support compliance, management information and stakeholder reporting. You will extract and transform data from complex sources, build and maintain ETL pipelines and cloud infrastructure, and ensure timely, accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Extract and transform data from source systems to create databases for use by data analysts in Power BI.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure (currently on AWS; plans to transition to Azure).
- Design, build and maintain robust ETL processes that tolerate change without breaking.
- Create and maintain data pipelines and connections between systems; orchestrate ETL pipelines.
- Use CI/CD processes (GitHub) for deployments and automation.
- Perform statistical analysis of key features, client data and financial transactions to support reporting and insights.
- Ensure integrity and timeliness of reporting to support stakeholders such as DNB (De Nederlandse Bank) and ABN AMRO.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders in and outside the organization; proactively address challenges and implement continuous improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical IT discipline (HBO/WO level).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar data engineering role, including stakeholder management and implementation of best practices.
- Proven ability to establish data pipelines with emphasis on best practices, readability and structured processes.
- Strong communication skills and ability to integrate social aspects into interactions.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with programming and data technologies such as PySpark (AWS Glue), Go, Python, SQL and TypeScript (Amazon CDK).
- Experience building cloud infrastructure, designing and orchestrating ETL pipelines, creating system integrations and using CI/CD (GitHub).
