We are looking for a Data Governance Analyst to drive data quality initiatives and champion data governance across our organization. This role focuses on partnering with our product, engineering and support teams to establish data standards, implement validation processes, and ensure data accuracy throughout our workflows. You'll collaborate across teams to develop and maintain data quality metrics, investigate discrepancies, and build automated monitoring solutions. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partner teams to onboard new customer data, inclusive of metadata tagging and classification
- Establish and maintain metadata management systems to enhance data discoverability and usage
- Create and deploy automated validation processes to maintain consistency with data management policies
- Report on and coordinate action to assure retention and access management policies are met
- Optimize scalable reporting workflows to transform complex data into actionable business insights
- Drive cross-organizational team collaboration effectively
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, information systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management roles
- Ability to configure data pipelines and leverage LLM prompt engineering to execute meaningful queries
- Hands-on experience with cloud storage platforms such as AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or GCP Cloud Storage
- Hands-on experience with cloud database and data warehouse platforms such as AWS RDS / Redshift, Azure SQL DB / Synapse Analytics, or GCP Cloud SQL / BigQuery
- Experience supporting environments subject to regulatory compliance requirements related to data handling
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Knowledge of data governance and lifecycle management principles
Ways to stand out / Nice to have
- Background in working with large, complex datasets, as well as creating and maintaining user documentation
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems
- Python scripting for workflow automation
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as R or Python
- Knowledge of APIs and microservices architecture
Compensation & Other
- The base salary range is 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD for Level 3, and 140,000 USD - 224,250 USD for Level 4. Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions.
