Working in Data Operations on the Product Partnerships team at Anthropic, you will support a cross-functional team in implementing partnership strategies to improve Anthropic’s products. You'll ensure data meets our standards and reaches the right teams, build systems to track compliance and data usage across the portfolio, and coordinate across Research, Product, Legal, and external partners to remove barriers and accelerate impact. This role requires operational excellence combined with technical understanding, and is a great fit for someone who wants to apply those skills in a high-impact, fast growth context.
Responsibilities
Data Delivery and Review
- Develop and maintain Anthropic's preferred standards for receiving and consuming data, ensuring alignment with Product and Engineering's evolving needs
- Own end-to-end data delivery workflows, ensuring data moves seamlessly from partners to internal teams to accelerate time-to-impact
- Analyze and review incoming or prospective data to verify it is useful and strategic for Anthropic
- Troubleshoot delivery issues and coordinate with partners and internal teams to resolve them
Data Systems, Tracking, and Compliance
- Build scalable systems and dashboards to monitor and analyze where data lives, how it's being used, and compliance status
- Ensure adherence to all of Anthropic’s and partner’s commercial obligations
- Design processes for onboarding new data sources and partners efficiently
- Partner with Infrastructure to set the standard for data cataloging across Anthropic as we scale
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Research, Product, Legal, Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure data is accessible and usable
- Guide external partners through Anthropic's data standards, delivery expectations, and processes
- Provide operational support to data partnership initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to processes and timelines
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership, highlighting key data metrics, insights, opportunities, and recommendations regarding data delivery standards and practices
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data operations, technical program management, or a related role that blends operational and technical work
- Background in engineering or data science — able to write light code (Python, SQL), perform data analysis, and work with data pipelines
- Strong systems thinking and ability to design processes and infrastructure that scale
- Highly detail-oriented with ownership over data quality and compliance
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure where none exists
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners
- Demonstrated bias for action
- Education: at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Strong Candidates May Also Have
- Experience building dashboards, tracking systems, or data cataloging infrastructure
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance, or rights management
- Track record of building operational processes from scratch in a fast-growth environment
- Experience evaluating and optimizing data strategies based on data-driven insights
Candidates Need Not Have
- Deep expertise in AI or machine learning — relevant context will be learned on the job
