Responsibilities
- Develop and improve short-term trading asset scheduling models for Enecoβs in-house platform, with initial focus on battery models.
- Optimize energy asset dispatch through mathematical modelling (Gurobi).
- Translate contracts and market opportunities into mathematical models.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvements to modelling to stay ahead of the market.
- Play a pivotal role developing and continuously improving models in a robust and reliable manner in collaboration with Business and Tech.
- Ensure operational stability together with traders, Tech, product managers and dispatchers.
- Deploy models with a fast feedback loop (deploy, learn, adjust) and focus on ownership and scalable automation of processes.
Requirements
- Academic background in a quantitative STEM field (Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Physics, or related discipline).
- Around 5 years of experience in data science roles (3β5 years indicated elsewhere in the listing); experience in the energy sector or trading is a big plus.
- Strong background in Python development.
- Experience with SQL databases, Databricks and streaming data.
- Familiarity with the listed tech stack: Azure Cloud, Gurobi, Kubernetes, Databricks, Airflow, Snowflake.
- Ability to understand business problems, distinguish main vs secondary issues, and translate them into robust data-driven solutions.
- Strong command of English (Dutch is a plus).
