We are hiring a data scientist to work on our core consumer product. As an early member of the Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our product and company. This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing startup and help define the data science function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data-driven insights from user behavior to inform product roadmap and accelerate adoption
  • Formulate hypotheses and validate them by designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests
  • Define the right metrics and visualizations to track product and company-wide performance and implement them in dashboards
  • Work closely with engineering, product, growth, design, and user research teams
  • Build tables to make analysis more efficient and make data more accessible

Requirements

  • 6-8+ years of experience working as a data scientist or in a related role
  • Experience at a fast-growing company working on consumer and/or growth products
  • SQL expert
  • Extensive A/B testing experience
  • Extensive experience building dashboards using BI tools (examples listed: Omni, Mode, Hex, Looker, or similar tools)
  • Self-starter who takes ownership end-to-end
  • Comfortable with open-ended problems
  • Some experience with data modeling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dbt
  • Comfortable with Python
  • Experience with Snowflake (especially as an admin)
  • Experience as one of the first data scientists at an early/growth-stage company
  • Data engineering and/or analytics engineering experience
  • Machine learning experience

Compensation and Benefits

  • Cash compensation range: $200,000 - $300,000 per year
  • Equity may be part of the total compensation package
