Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company with more than 20M users of Grafana and customers that include Bloomberg, JPMorgan Chase, and eBay. The Developer Programs Associate will support and grow Grafana's open source and developer communities with a focus on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This is an execution-focused role that involves organizing meetups, managing swag and recognition, supporting contributors, and evaluating local conference sponsorships. You will own a few scoped projects each quarter and may lead a larger program annually.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and support community meetups across EMEA, including collaboration with local community organizers
  • Evaluate and execute regional conference sponsorships, including logistics and community presence
  • Represent Grafana Labs in online and in-person settings (travel up to 30%)
  • Partner with affinity communities and explore collaboration opportunities
  • Partner with internal teams to enable and inspire their involvement in community initiatives
  • Respond to and manage incoming community requests and opportunities
  • Monitor community health and provide insights to the broader team by identifying emerging needs
  • Manage swag logistics and recognition efforts for community contributors

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience supporting developer communities at global, regional, or local levels
  • 2+ years of experience organizing community events such as meetups and conferences
  • Compassionate relationship-building skills, especially across diverse communities
  • Experience leading projects and improving programs through thoughtful, creative approaches
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail when executing community-facing programs
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently in a distributed team
  • Comfortability using tools like Common Room, Slack, and Monday.com (or equivalents) to track engagement

Bonus

  • Experience with or participation in open source communities
  • Familiarity with observability and/or Grafana Labs technologies
  • Proficiency in additional language(s)

Compensation & Rewards

In the UK, the base compensation range for this role is £56,800 - £68,200. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Compensation ranges are country specific; if applying from a different location, recruiters will discuss that market's pay range.
