Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company serving millions of users and thousands of organizations worldwide. Community and open source are central to the company. As a Developer Community Programs Associate focused on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), you will support and grow Grafana Labs' open source and developer communities through hands-on program implementation and event execution.
Responsibilities
- Organize and support community meetups across EMEA, collaborating with local community organizers
- Evaluate and execute regional conference sponsorships, including logistics and community presence
- Represent Grafana Labs in online and in-person settings, with travel up to 30%
- Partner with affinity communities and explore collaboration opportunities
- Partner with internal teams to enable and inspire their involvement in community initiatives
- Respond to and manage incoming community requests and opportunities
- Monitor community health and provide insights to the broader team, identifying emerging needs
- Manage swag logistics and recognition efforts for community contributors
- Own a few scoped projects each quarter and potentially lead one larger program annually
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience supporting developer communities at global, regional, or local levels
- 2+ years of experience organizing community events such as meetups and conferences
- Compassionate relationship-building skills across diverse communities
- Experience leading projects and improving programs through thoughtful, creative approaches
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail when executing community-facing programs
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently in a distributed team
- Comfortability using tools like Common Room, Slack, and Monday.com (or equivalents) to track engagement
- Willingness to travel up to 30% for events and community engagement
Bonus Points
- Experience with or participation in open source communities
- Familiarity with observability and/or Grafana Labs technologies (Grafana Cloud, Grafana Enterprise, Mimir, Loki, Tempo)
- Proficiency in additional language(s)
Compensation & Rewards
- In Spain, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 51,000 - EUR 61,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process.
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
- Global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum (3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days). Local legislation will be complied with where applicable.
