Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company used by millions worldwide for observability (metrics, logs, traces) via projects like Grafana, Mimir, Loki, and Tempo. The Developer Programs Associate will support and grow Grafana Labs' open source and developer communities with a focus on EMEA, helping implement programs that empower contributors, foster connections, and enable internal teams to engage effectively.

Responsibilities

• Organize and support community meetups across EMEA, collaborating with local community organizers
• Evaluate and execute regional conference sponsorships, including logistics and community presence
• Represent Grafana Labs in online and in-person settings (travel up to 30%)
• Partner with affinity communities and explore collaboration opportunities
• Partner with internal teams to enable and inspire involvement in community initiatives
• Respond to and manage incoming community requests and opportunities
• Monitor community health, provide insights, and identify emerging needs
• Manage swag logistics and recognition efforts for community contributors
• Own a few scoped projects each quarter and potentially lead one larger program annually

Requirements

• 2+ years experience supporting developer communities at global, regional, or local levels
• 2+ years experience organizing community events such as meetups and conferences
• Strong communication skills and compassionate relationship-building across diverse communities
• Experience leading projects and improving programs through thoughtful, creative approaches
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail for community-facing programs
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently in a distributed team
• Comfort using tools like Common Room, Slack, and Monday.com (or equivalents) to track engagement

Bonus

• Experience with or participation in open source communities
• Familiarity with observability and/or Grafana Labs technologies (Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo)
• Proficiency in additional languages

Compensation & Rewards

• Netherlands base compensation range: EUR 59,900 - EUR 71,900 (actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset)
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)
• Country-specific compensation ranges; applicants from other locations will discuss market-specific pay ranges with a recruiter
