The Director will set sales strategy, support ecosystem growth, and lead a team focused on platform adoption and customer success. The role is based in Houston, TX and the posting also lists Remote (US) as an option.
Responsibilities

- Collaborate with industry-specific, technical, business, and marketing resources across NVIDIA and partners to drive mutual success.
- Monitor and develop emerging use cases to cultivate new vertical opportunities.
- Represent NVIDIA at energy industry events and recruit/engage ecosystem partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience, from a leading university.
- 15+ years of overall experience with the energy vertical.
- 6+ years of sales leadership experience.
- Deep familiarity with the energy value chain (utilities, independent power producers, grid operators, oil & gas, renewables, or nuclear) and how technology is used in operations, planning, and engineering.
- Consistent overachievement against sales growth targets in dynamic, enterprise-technology sales leadership roles.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and executive presence; comfortable presenting at industry events and customer leadership briefings.
- Ability to work across engineering, sales, marketing, and executive functions, as well as external partners, customers, and content developers.
- Deep knowledge of energy ecosystems and driving adoption/growth of technology, particularly in HPC and AI.
- Demonstrable understanding of energy applications across sub-industries.
Ways to stand out
- Direct experience working for an energy company (utility, IPP, oil & gas major, services firm) or in a technology role focused on the energy vertical.
- Hands-on exposure to AI, data science, or simulation workloads (grid planning, subsurface workflows, reliability analysis, predictive maintenance).
- Prior experience at a cloud provider, GSI, or ISV where platform or ecosystem adoption (not just individual deals) was driven.
Compensation & Other Info
- Base salary range: 288,000 USD - 437,000 USD (determined based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions).
