We are seeking an ambitious Applied Research leader to define and drive NVIDIA's strategy for Clara in Healthcare and Medical Imaging. The role focuses on translating cutting-edge machine learning, generative AI, LLMs and computer vision research into medical products and software development platforms, building research programs, and enabling partners and internal teams to productize medical AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive applied research strategy for medical products and software platforms across multiple teams.
- Define, develop and implement a data curation strategy to enable next-generation medical and healthcare products with partners.
- Align NVIDIA efforts to improve healthcare technologies by bringing together capabilities across the company and domains.
- Drive research and development of new medical applications using machine learning, generative AI and computer vision.
- Enable business and solution architect teams with generative AI capabilities adaptable to customer products.
- Maintain deep understanding of state-of-the-art generative AI and medical research to guide strategic investments and future research directions.
Requirements
- Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience and 4+ years of leadership experience.
- Industry-leading mastery of machine learning, generative models, LLMs and computer vision techniques.
- Demonstrated track record of building applied medical research programs and applying research to products.
- Experience with data curation strategies for medical data and enabling productization of research.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, team leadership, communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with Python, C/C++ or other programming languages.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative, collaborative environment and unify strategy across teams.

Location & Compensation
- Location: Santa Clara, United States (US, CA, Santa Clara).
- Base salary range: 320,000 USD - 483,000 USD (final base salary determined by location, experience, and internal pay equity).
- Eligible for equity and benefits.
