Responsibilities
- Mature and drive the execution of the Control Framework for Data Management and establish a new control framework for AI.
- Establish control roadmaps that plan and monitor controls for the Central Data Office and Data Domain organisations.
- Keep oversight of the control report out to the organisation to ensure a single view of data management & AI control across the bank.
- Track and challenge actions, align outcomes with stakeholders (senior data leadership, data stewards, data capability owners).
- Identify specific controls required for regulations (such as BCBS239) and specific cases related to data & AI.
- Contribute to 2nd line risk framework activities such as Process Risk Assessments, Key Risk Indicators and Reference Controls.
- Spot deviations and maintain an overview of them.
- Design and drive implementation of processes to formalise data management & AI artefacts (standards and guidelines) and provide expert guidance for adoption.
- Run the corporate governance Group Data Committee and drive awareness of data & AI governance.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of work experience, including proven experience in consulting.
- Strong getting-things-done personality; action oriented with strong conceptual capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and engage stakeholders across departments and disciplines.
- Experience with project management and driving large change programs in complex environments.
- Experience in Data Governance and Data Management (familiarity with DAMA DMBOK, BCBS239, etc.).
- Strong affinity with Audit, Compliance or related fields is desirable.
- Understanding of risk management and 2nd line controls (Process Risk Assessments, KRIs, Reference Controls).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred (Information Sciences, Business Information Management, Business Administration, Data Management, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management or related).
- If you are currently a PO, Project Lead or Program Manager and seek deeper content involvement, this role may be suitable.
- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to inspire stakeholders to take action.
Working environment
- Part of the Central Data Office – Governance & Control team reporting to the Head of Governance & Control.
- Regular interaction with senior data leadership, Data Domain organisations (including BCBS239 program), other departments in the CDO and the 2nd line.
