Details

NVIDIA is leading developments in Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing and Visualization. This internship focuses on embedded software development for Jetson Embedded Platform and other Tegra SoC based Linux and Android products, with opportunities to work on CPU and GPU technologies that accelerate deep learning and neural networks for automotive, robotics, entertainment and other embedded systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deepen C/C++ programming skills and learn embedded computing technologies for Jetson and Tegra SoC based Linux/Android products.
  • Develop and debug functional and performance aspects of the Linux kernel, platform software and applications with mentor support.
  • Work on NVIDIA CPU and GPU technologies as part of an intern project.
  • Contribute to software development to accelerate technologies such as deep learning and neural networks for embedded use cases.
  • Collaborate with a team of hardware, system and software engineers.

Requirements

  • Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong Computer Science/Engineering fundamentals.
  • Extensive C/C++ programming and debugging experience on Linux systems.
  • Understanding of operating system kernel internals.
  • Hands-on experience with performance profiling and optimization.
  • Ability to write test automation and technical documentation for projects.

Ways to Stand Out

  • Experience with hardware and software development of embedded systems (e.g., Jetson devkit).
  • Contributions to the Linux kernel or other open-source projects.
  • Familiarity with deep learning and neural networks, computer vision, CUDA and OpenGL application programming.
  • Experience programming display, graphics and media features.
  • Experience with system boot loaders.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Internship hourly rate: 20 USD - 71 USD (rate varies by position, location, year in school, degree, and experience).
