At Saily (Nord Security) we remove the hassle from getting secure data plans while traveling — no roaming charges, no plastic SIM cards. Saily is a data connectivity product loved by travelers and is currently in hyper-growth. The company is hiring many engineers throughout 2026 and is looking for Engineering Managers to build and scale product-centric, cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams (backend, mobile, product engineers) — 10–25 engineers depending on EM seniority, across up to 4 cross-functional teams.
  • Own people management: professional development, performance reviews, conflict resolution; build healthy, motivated, high-performing teams.
  • Hire new engineers (experienced or high potential) without compromising culture; onboard and support engineers to ensure wellbeing.
  • Build, scale and coach teams in a fast-evolving engineering organization; ensure strong execution, ownership, and accountability across teams.
  • Improve processes, workflows, and collaboration across teams.
  • Identify people and team performance issues early and resolve them pragmatically.
  • Drive team structure and culture improvements as the organization evolves.
  • Act as the connecting glue between Teams, Project Leads, Product Owners and Staff Engineers — ensure everyone has necessary context and is enabled to move forward.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership; be trusted to challenge ideas, give upward feedback, and influence strategy.
  • Function as a strong, independent voice in leadership discussions; act as a role model for discipline, accountability, and ownership.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence by working from the Warsaw office as required.

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of experience leading a team of software engineers.
  • Solid software development background; experience or a desire to develop understanding of the mobile applications domain. Not expected to write production code regularly, but must understand system logic.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
  • Openness to collaborate, mentor, and share practical knowledge and trends with the team.
  • Team-spirited, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to come up with cross-platform solutions together with the team in a timely manner.
  • Proactiveness in developing innovative solutions while tracking team metrics.

Compensation

  • Gross salary: 33,000–39,600 PLN per month (plus VAT if B2B). Annualized amounts: 396,000–475,200 PLN per year.

  • Workplace type: hybrid. The role expects a visible leadership presence and work from the Warsaw office.
