Perplexity is an AI-powered answer engine founded in December 2022. The company has raised significant venture investment and focuses on building accurate, trustworthy AI to power decision-making and assistive experiences. The Agents team builds agentic experiences across critical product surfaces, leveraging frontier models and full-stack engineering. In July 2025 Perplexity shipped Comet, the world’s first agentic browser, and the team is focused on further advancing agent capabilities that can act in open-ended environments.
