Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about our mission and believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark, relishes working with high-caliber colleagues, seeks feedback to keep leveling up, and runs toward solving the company’s hardest problems. Our work culture is intense and not for everyone. While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, they are not remote-only: in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites.

Where does the price you see on Coinbase actually come from? Behind every trade, chart, wallet balance, and DeFi position is the Asset Data Platform. This team collects, normalizes, and serves asset metadata, real-time prices, and historical data at massive scale—ensuring customers see accurate, up-to-the-second information whether they are trading on Coinbase Exchange, exploring DeFi with Coinbase Wallet (TBA), or monitoring their portfolio performance.

The Asset Data Platform powers hundreds of services at Coinbase, from the centralized exchange to Wallet and DEX experiences. Services operate at extreme scale and under strict accuracy and uptime requirements—every millisecond matters because billions of dollars in trades and millions of customers rely on it.

This is a visible and business-critical engineering platform role. Joining the team means leading engineers who solve hard problems in distributed systems, scalability, and operational excellence—while directly shaping the foundation of the global crypto economy.
