Role Description

As an Engineering Manager at Eneco, you will lead a talented engineering team with hands-on involvement in developing and implementing innovative technological solutions. You will set the technical direction, ensure sustainability and security of the technical scope, and work closely with product teams to deliver impactful solutions driven by experimentation and learning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and delivery accountability of the engineering team.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define product requirements and technical solutions.
• Lead adoption of best software development practices including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team promoting innovation and collaboration.
• Actively contribute to engineering efforts, ensuring technical direction and viability.
• Manage performance, coach, and mentor team members supporting their professional growth.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong technical background in software development with ability to contribute hands-on.
• Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Passion for mentoring and developing team members.
• Ability to set technical direction and vision aligned with broader domain goals.
