Details

Eneco is looking for an Engineering Manager Platforms – Cloud & SRE to lead the design, implementation and operation of resilient, scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services. You will lead a cross-functional team, be hands-on, and help shape a culture of operational excellence, automation and learning. The role sits at the heart of Eneco’s digital transformation and focuses on enabling the engineering organization to move faster and more reliably.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Build robust observability, monitoring, and alerting systems
  • Create self-service platforms that empower development teams
  • Establish SLOs and ensure reliability across services
  • Drive automation to eliminate toil and increase operational efficiency
  • Contribute hands-on to architectural decisions and implementation
  • Mentor and grow engineers while fostering a collaborative culture

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience leading engineering teams focused on infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and automation
  • Experience establishing SLOs and reliability practices
  • Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic about mentoring and developing engineers; able to set technical direction and balance immediate needs with long-term vision
