Responsibilities
- Build and manage full-stack engineering teams across web and mobile.
- Coach direct reports to positively impact the organization and support career growth.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate vision into a quarterly roadmap.
- Break down complex projects and lead iterative design and implementation.
- Provide technical leadership, make architectural decisions, and foster a high-quality engineering culture.
- Ensure successful delivery and operation of multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
- Work with talent organization to recruit engineers aligned with Coinbase's culture.
- Own processes driving engineering quality and meet SLAs.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
- At least 2 years of engineering management experience.
- Experience working on Card products at scale.
- Strong understanding of high-quality code and effective software engineering processes.
- Execution-focused mindset with ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results.
- Ability to balance strategic long-term thinking with short-term planning.
- Experience creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
- Hands-on capability for coding, documentation, on-call rotations, incident leadership, and bug triaging.
- Passion for building an open financial system.
Nice to Haves
- Crypto-forward experience, familiarity with onchain activity such as Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps, or blockchain-based services.

Salary and Compensation
- Annual salary range: $218,025 to $256,500 USD.
- Includes target bonus, equity, and benefits.
