Airbnb’s Guest Displays & Platforms team owns the main product details page (PDP) and Pricing & Availability across the booking flow for all products (Homes, Hotels, Experiences, Services). This role leads the Pricing & Availability Platform team responsible for the engine that computes trip-level pricing, availability, and related merchandising across the booking flow. The team focuses on low-latency, high-throughput backend systems that power Airbnb’s highest-traffic surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Pricing & Availability Platform team: hire, coach, and grow engineering talent
  • Work with product, design, and stakeholders to determine and document requirements
  • Work with engineers to plan, sequence, make tradeoffs, and deliver new features and capabilities
  • Maintain and improve system health, reliability, and technical quality for backend services
  • Establish and communicate vision and high-level guidance for pricing architecture and integration
  • Handle resourcing, roadmaps, and communicate deliverable plans
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Search, Checkout, Listings, Users, Host Settings, Payments, Tax, Cities, Trust, and other teams

Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering management experience
  • 10+ years of relevant software development industry experience in a fast-paced tech environment
  • Deep expertise with backend systems and complex data modeling in large-scale consumer applications
  • Experience building and operating low-latency, high-throughput systems
  • End-to-end, product-oriented mentality that transcends team boundaries
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong collaboration skills and good judgment to balance short-term business needs with long-term technical quality

Location & Work Policy

  • US - Remote Eligible. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required as agreed with your manager
  • Must live in a U.S. state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (some states excluded)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $204,000—$255,000 USD
  • Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits
