Information about the position

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join one of our Payments teams. The teams have all the competencies to drive decisions and delivery. Usually, teams consist of backend engineers, a Quality Assurance engineer, a Decision Scientist, a Product Manager, and an Engineering Manager. Your main responsibility will be threefold:

• Delivery management - running team sprints, analyzing requirements and following up together with engineers, aligning with stakeholders (internal and external). Being an Engineering Manager you are the representative of Engineering in your team
• The health and maturity of the team and ensuring people's personal growth and support
• Ensuring Quality of Engineering

In this position, you’ll

• Work in a team to shape features that make our members’ lives better
• Ensure the team’s delivery of technology according to the roadmap
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering leads to bring continuous improvements and take our Engineering organization to a new level
• Apply Agile and Lean principles in your work and ensure the team has a set of processes that enables them to be effective
• Focus on the professional and personal growth of your team, including conducting performance and compensation reviews
• Build and maintain a team of people who trust each other, are not afraid of conflict, are committed and accountable, and who care about results

About you

• You have engineering experience of your own - we expect that you are excited about engineering and keen to learn
• Proven experience leading a software engineering team and delivering outcomes
• Know how to make teams effective, manage scopes and deliverables
• Have experience building teams & hiring new team members
• You possess strong people management skills - and have experience ensuring the development of team members
• Solid proficiency in communicating with both technical and management levels
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
• Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English

The salary range for this position is €6,258 - €8,475 gross per month.
