You will be the Engineering Manager Platforms — Web and Mobile, driving the evolution of Eneco’s web and mobile platforms. You will lead cross-functional engineering teams to build resilient, scalable, and future-proof digital experiences, focusing on quality, performance, operational excellence and customer outcomes. The role combines hands-on technical contribution with engineering leadership, mentoring, and setting long-term technical direction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead platform initiatives for web and mobile: design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and shared services that accelerate web and mobile application delivery.
  • Drive observability and reliability across platforms: implement end-to-end monitoring, alerting and SLOs to ensure high-quality user experiences on web and mobile.
  • Build self-service developer platforms: create tools, SDKs and documentation that empower web and mobile engineers to ship faster and with greater autonomy.
  • Standardise architecture and best practices: define frameworks, APIs and integration patterns that support consistent, maintainable development across iOS, Android, React Native, Vue.js and modern web stacks.
  • Automate and optimise delivery pipelines: reduce manual steps, improve testing workflows and increase operational efficiency for web and mobile engineering teams.
  • Contribute hands-on to architectural decisions and implementation: guide trade-offs and technical direction across frontend, mobile and backend/platform systems.
  • Mentor and grow engineers: foster a collaborative, high-performing culture and coach teams working at the intersection of platform, web and mobile engineering.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience designing and running cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure or GCP) with infrastructure-as-code.
  • Proven experience leading engineering teams focused on platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE — ideally supporting both web and mobile product teams.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in CI/CD pipelines for web and mobile, Kubernetes or other container orchestration, observability and automation.
  • Familiarity with modern web stacks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android, React Native) sufficient to set standards, guide architectural decisions and mentor engineers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and connect platform strategy to business needs.
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring, developing engineers and setting technical direction and long-term vision while balancing immediate delivery needs.
