This role is for an experienced Enterprise CRM & Data Governance Consultant to evaluate the current technology ecosystem and serve as the dedicated technical representative for the business unit, aligning with internal Digital and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate is technically fluent and business-oriented, comfortable navigating organizational complexity, structured and analytical with strong documentation discipline, credible with engineers and trusted by executives.
Responsibilities
- Represent strategic priorities in technical planning conversations
- Translate business needs into clear system requirements
- Assess technical feasibility and integration strategy
- Ensure executive-level data governance and protection
- Structure a roadmap toward a unified CRM environment serving as a single source of truth
Key responsibilities include:
- Current-State Systems Assessment: full audit of multiple CRM environments, event registration/marketing form systems, and key integrations with marketing, finance, and internal platforms; map system architecture, data flows, redundancies, integration gaps; identify data risk
- Data Governance & Executive Data Protection: evaluate existing governance frameworks across business units; identify vulnerabilities in executive/high-priority stakeholder data; recommend policies for data stewardship and ownership, access controls and role-based permissions, data standardization and hygiene, and privacy/compliance safeguards
- Future-State CRM Strategy & Architecture: define a target-state architecture centered on a unified CRM system with recommended integration strategies for event registration platforms, marketing automation systems, and other internal tools
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Planning: facilitate working sessions between business leadership, digital product teams, engineering/IT, and data privacy/compliance teams; develop documented technical requirements and business cases; present findings to executive leadership
- Roadmap Development & Implementation Planning: deliver a phased transformation roadmap including milestones, resource requirements, budget considerations, risk mitigation strategies, and quick wins vs. long-term improvements; provide advisory support during early implementation planning
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise CRM architecture, systems strategy, or digital transformation
- Deep expertise in Salesforce (multi-instance environments strongly preferred)
- Experience serving as a liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into technical specifications
- Strong understanding of enterprise data governance and compliance frameworks
- Experience working within complex, matrixed organizations with competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills with both executive leadership and technical teams
Preferred
- Salesforce Architect certification
- Experience consolidating fragmented CRM environments
- Experience integrating CRM with event platforms and marketing automation tools
- Background in audience development, event-driven marketing, or multi-division enterprises
- Change management or enterprise transformation experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: 45 - 60 USD Hourly
