The Finance Platform & Technology team at OpenAI builds and scales the systems and data architecture that power core financial operations. The team enables business agility, compliance, and operational excellence across quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and asset management for both B2B and B2C. The focus is on modernizing workflows through strategic integrations, scalable automation, and seamless data flows to enable reliable reporting and sustainable growth.
This role owns and scales OpenAI’s Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platform across financial close, consolidation, account reconciliation, profitability, and master-data governance. The role ensures FCCS, ARCS, PCMCS, and EDM operate as a single, trusted financial system of record, tightly integrated with Oracle Fusion ERP, Revenue systems, and the enterprise data platform. The leader will own product strategy, roadmap, data integrity, controls, and automation for the financial close and consolidation ecosystem as OpenAI scales globally and prepares for audit, compliance, and IPO readiness.
Responsibilities
- Drive execution and continuous improvement of OpenAI’s EPM platform, including FCCS, ARCS, EDM, and PCMCS, ensuring financial accuracy, auditability, scalability, and enterprise-grade governance.
- Lead delivery of global close, consolidation, and reporting capabilities across multiple entities, currencies, and accounting standards.
- Execute the integration strategy between Oracle Fusion ERP, EPM, and the enterprise data platform to ensure automated, controlled, and reconcilable financial data flows.
- Ensure SOX-grade controls and audit readiness across financial close, reconciliations, master data, and adjustments through standardized workflows, approvals, and certifications.
- Drive operational excellence across the EPM ecosystem to reduce manual processes, close cycle time, and post-close adjustments through automation and improved data quality.
- Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Audit leadership to deliver scalable financial systems supporting rapid growth and regulatory obligations.
- Provide execution leadership across cross-functional teams (Finance, Product, Data, Engineering) to deliver high-impact financial systems initiatives on time and at enterprise quality.
- Build and mature the Finance Systems product organization, setting standards for delivery, reliability, documentation, and platform ownership across the EPM stack.
- Own end-to-end design and delivery for financial close, consolidation, account reconciliations, profitability, master-data governance, and enterprise financial reporting.
- Drive integrations with upstream and downstream systems including Oracle Fusion ERP, Revenue platforms, Databricks, planning tools, and reporting platforms to power statutory, management, and narrative reporting.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on expertise across Oracle EPM Cloud (FCCS, ARCS, EDM, PCMCS, Data Management) with a strong understanding of close, consolidation, and reporting.
- Strong foundation in financial accounting, FX, intercompany, ownership, and consolidation with the ability to translate accounting requirements into governed system design.
- Experience owning enterprise financial platforms as products, including roadmap, controls, data contracts, and stakeholder alignment.
- Proven track record delivering SOX-compliant, audit-ready financial systems in high-growth or pre-IPO environments.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly scaling environments with strong prioritization and delivery under tight deadlines.
- Ability to design and run automated ERP-to-EPM-to-analytics pipelines (Oracle Fusion, Databricks, planning and reporting tools).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Audit, and Engineering.
- A bias toward clarity, control, and financial truth; replacing spreadsheets and manual processes with governed, automated systems.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with Databricks, Anaplan, or Workato/OIC integration platforms.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Financials (GL, SLA, AR, AP, FA) and integrations with FCCS, ARCS, EDM, and PCMCS.
