This role is an Executive Business Partner supporting the Head of Payments Engineering and 1-2 additional Tech Leaders. It is a full-time, remote-eligible position that may require occasional travel to San Francisco and regional offices. The Executive Business Partner is a strategic partner who helps align leader priorities, manages complex administrative responsibilities, supports operations for the Payments Engineering organization, and represents the organization to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day administrative responsibilities for the Head of Payments Engineering, including advanced calendar management, travel and expense management, note-taking, meeting preparation and follow up, report and resource/database maintenance, and coordinating office access.
  • Act as a thought partner to strategically align the leader's calendar with priorities.
  • Plan and execute travel and agendas for regional site visits, team events, offsites, activities, and recognition events.
  • Assist with or own content creation including drafting emails and creating presentations.
  • Manage purchase orders when applicable and partner with the leader and finance to track and analyze budget and expenses.
  • Provide support for project-related work: prepare reports for quarterly business reviews, create onboarding plans for key team members, drive process improvements, and participate in strategic organizational activities.
  • Manage end-to-end external executive events and senior leadership agendas; partner with key external stakeholders (investors, M&A, government officials, strategic vendors) as needed.
  • Work closely with the Payments Engineering Director of Planning and Operations to support ad hoc projects and coordinate high-priority meetings.
  • Maintain partnerships with internal stakeholders such as internal/external comms, talent partners, D&B, FP&A, legal, and recruiting for organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage and maintain the security of the leader’s email inbox in compliance with code of ethics and data privacy/security policies as requested.
  • Represent the organization to internal and external stakeholders and act as a mentor for other admins where applicable.
  • Build effective relationships within Airbnb to support scheduling and spontaneous inquiries/requests.
  • Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience supporting senior-level executives in an administrative capacity.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic; proactive, positive, professional, and exercises good judgment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback diplomatically and to navigate and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Incredibly organized and resourceful; able to juggle and multi-task with acute attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Advanced presentation skills and familiarity with Google Docs, Keynote, and Excel; grasp of current social networking systems.
  • Passion for continuous learning and sharing best practices.
  • Ability to remain calm and poised under pressure.
  • May be required to travel up to 25%.

Location & Eligibility

  • This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites. Candidates must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity (see Airbnb careers page for excluded states).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base pay range: $119,000β€”$140,000 USD.
  • This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits. Actual base pay depends on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
