About the Team

Employee Tech Experience (ETX) provides the technology and services that all OpenAI employees interact with throughout their journey with the company. ETX includes IT Support, Logistics, System Operations, and ITAV.

About the Role

As Executive IT Support Lead you will build and lead a high-touch, white-glove IT support program for OpenAI’s executives. You will design a program that grows with the changing needs of executives as the company scales and provide direct IT support to executives. The role requires building trust with executives and their business partners, and coordinating closely with peers in ETX and IT.

Responsibilities

  • Define what “excellent” Executive IT Support looks like and grow the program to fit executive needs.
  • Act as frontline Executive IT Support, directly supporting senior leaders and their EBPs with technology needs on their timeline.
  • Clearly articulate issues, solutions, and timelines to stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Coordinate with IT and Security and leverage a broad team to ensure executive success and agility.
  • Identify emerging executive needs and help IT proactively solve problems.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience providing Executive IT Support, with deep familiarity in the technical requirements of the C-suite at large, fast-paced, public companies.
  • Strong technical experience with macOS and Windows.
  • Experience with identity and device management (examples called out: Azure AD, Jamf, Intune).
  • Experience with enterprise collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Office 365, Slack, Atlassian products).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to set clear expectations and track requests end-to-end.
  • Security- and compliance-first mindset to ensure executive hardware and data remain safe.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize, coordinate, delegate, and troubleshoot effectively.

Workplace & Location

This role is based out of OpenAI’s San Francisco office and requires 5 days in office per week. Domestic and international travel is required multiple times a month as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $52.88 per hour • Offers equity.
  • Base pay may vary depending on market location, knowledge, skills, and experience. If non-exempt, overtime pay will be provided consistent with applicable laws.
