Details

NVIDIA’s AI platforms have already made a major impact across leading academic institutions, start-ups, and the world’s largest enterprise companies. We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer — a specialist in system design and networking who can lead customers through the AI computing revolution and drive large-scale datacenter deployments and factory integration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite technical leadership for large-scale NVIDIA AI datacenter deployments, ensuring seamless integration and customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and deployment issues across GPU, networking, and storage technologies.
  • Act as a technical expert supporting sales teams, driving adoption of NVIDIA solutions through close collaboration with customers and internal collaborators.
  • Lead technical engagement with customer engineers, architects, and decision-makers to identify system architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI space.
  • Support L11 factory integration activities by working with OEM partners to embed NVIDIA technologies into manufacturing workflows, accelerating deployment readiness and time-to-value.
  • Lead technical deployments of NVIDIA AI systems, collaborate cross-functionally, and support L11 factory integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in system design or technical customer support within the technology industry, including hands-on involvement in L11 factory integration, validation, and scaling activities.
  • Deep knowledge of datacenter hardware such as servers, storage systems, and network devices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and leadership teams.

Ways to stand out

  • Proven experience with large-scale datacenter rollouts and integration of solutions into OEM platforms, including support for L11 factory integration and the ability to scale production efficiently.
  • Strong networking expertise across TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, and switches, with a solid understanding of CPU architecture and embedded Linux systems, APIs, and OS environments.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting, Ansible and Python programming, enabling automation, diagnostics, and performance tuning across complex system environments.
  • Deep knowledge of GPU and DPU technologies, including NCCL for high-performance communication in multi-GPU systems.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity principles, thermal management (HVAC and cooling), power distribution, cabling, and rack layout in the data center.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges (determined by location, experience, and internal pay bands):
    • Level 3: 132,000 USD - 207,000 USD
    • Level 4: 160,000 USD - 253,000 USD
  • You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (see NVIDIA benefits page).
