This role seeks a passionate, creative, and hardworking individual to help deliver groundbreaking enterprise AI solutions. The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will specialize in system design, networking, and act as a technical leader for customers who view AI as a transformative computing revolution.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support integrating NVIDIA GPU, CPU, DPU, and networking solutions into OEM partner solutions, solving complex hardware, software, and deployment issues.
- Serve as the technical lead for NVIDIA products, partnering closely with sales account managers to deliver AI datacenter solutions.
- Build and maintain strong technical relationships with customer engineers, architects, and decision-makers at key enterprise AI accounts.
- Identify customer architectures and translate requirements into actionable insights for product and solution development.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal engineering, product, and support teams to ensure alignment and execution excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in system design or technical customer support in the switching and routing industry.
- Deep understanding of datacenter hardware (servers, storage, network devices) and experience debugging Ethernet or InfiniBand protocol issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to multitask and adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating solutions into OEM platforms and supporting large-scale datacenter equipment rollouts.
- Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, Ethernet, InfiniBand (IB), RDMA, RoCE, NICs, and switches.
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with embedded Linux systems, APIs, and related OS environments.
- Solid understanding of CPU architectures and storage protocols (block, file, object, cloud).
- Ability to collaborate with OEMs and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range: 160,000 USD - 304,750 USD, determined by location, experience, and comparable pay.
