Information about the position
Vinted’s Finance team is in charge of producing transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth.
We are looking for a Finance Data Control Manager who will lead a team of 6 financial data specialists. The manager should ensure that the company and team objectives are achieved through the tasks performed and nurture the personal and professional development of the team members, while living Vinted values of ownership, co-creation, caring, aiming high and growth.
The ideal candidate would be a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong track record in ensuring data control processes within the financial reporting framework, ability to translate financial requirements to technical ones and vice versa, strong leadership skills, and a proactive positive attitude towards participating in projects that drive processes improvements and organisational growth.
In this position, you’ll
- Lead and develop a team of 6 financial data specialists
- Implement and maintain robust data control processes to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data
- Establish processes to identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial deliverables, ensuring data reliability for internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and provide insights into business performance
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in financial data handling and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information
- Become well-versed in all Vinted Group’s business lines
- Oversee financial reporting data quality and ensure controls
- Communicate across teams and departments as needed to align various processes and requirements and initiate discussions for essential process reviews that impact the Finance Data Control team
- Lead and mentor a team of financial data specialists, fostering their professional development and aligning their efforts with company objectives
- Set and review team KPIs, ensuring resource allocation supports the company's financial goals
- Develop a strategic plan for the Finance Data Control team within the Finance Control area
- Communicate with external stakeholders for ad hoc queries requiring a higher level of diplomacy and problem solving skills
About you
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, preferably with a focus on data control
- Proven experience in leading or managing teams in fast-paced or dynamic environments
- Ability to understand the impact of changes on different stakeholders throughout the company
- Strong knowledge of financial audit processes and IFRS requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address data discrepancies and process inefficiencies
- Experience liaising with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise within predefined deadlines
- Proven ability to review the work of others effectively using adequate tools and methods
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques
- Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English (our business language)
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear and comprehensible information for different audiences
- Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment
- Experience working in fast-growing tech company would be an advantage

The salary range for this position is € 4,500 - € 6,083 gross per month.
