Information about the position

In your new role, you will become part of the Financial Operations team which together with another team of Business Analytics is part of the Vinted Go Finance and Business Analytics domain. Together the function is responsible for coordinating the growth strategy, financial planning, operational resource planning, performance measurement, and financial operations for Vinted Go.

The Financial Operations team is responsible for implementing and improving processes to achieve greater efficiency and accuracy, reduce errors and risks, and provide timely and accurate financial information to support better decision-making.

In this position, you’ll

  • Calculate and process compensation claims with Carriers to ensure the timely recovery of agreed-upon amounts.
  • Collaborate proactively with Carriers and internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies, ensuring all claims align with contractual terms.
  • Accurately input and manage compensation-related data within Google Cloud to support ongoing analysis and reporting needs.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Group Accounting teams on matters related to shipping compensations, providing insights and updates as necessary.
  • Continuously evaluate, refine, and automate existing procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

About you

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (equivalent working experience is also acceptable);
  • Familiar with financial concepts and terminology, experience in finance or accounting areas is preferred;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, experience with Google Cloud, BigQuery, and SQL treated as an advantage;
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data;
  • Self-starter, structured, and highly attentive to detail and accuracy;
  • Willingness to learn and understand end-to-end processes;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and management;
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English.
