We are looking for a Firmware Engineer Intern for our SoC Memory Subsystem Team to contribute to our memory subsystem from first silicon power-on to production. Applications for this job will be accepted at least until October 27, 2025. The internship hourly rate range is 20 CAD - 63 CAD (actual rate depends on position, location, year in school, degree, and experience).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in firmware development for DDR memory, including validation and debug of firmware and silicon bring-up for NVIDIA SoC products.
  • Plan and implement memory interfaces, validation, and feature enablement on NVIDIA SoC products.
  • Tune DRAM interface timing and review DRAM datasheets.
  • Use digital and analog systems knowledge, computer architecture, and strong debugging skills to solve problems.
  • Refine memory bring-up and validation strategy; support silicon bring-up from early power-on to production.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent area with focus in embedded systems.
  • Good understanding and coding skills in C and C++ and knowledge of data structures.
  • Working knowledge of PC systems, Windows OS, and Linux.
  • Excellent debugging skills; able to break problems down based on first principles.
  • Comfortable assuming different responsibilities over the life of a product.

Ways to stand out

  • Exposure to DDR protocol is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ASIL process and flow is an advantage.
  • Past internship or project experience working with embedded firmware.
