Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds Grafana, an open-source visualization platform used by millions worldwide. The Partner Data Sources squad builds and maintains open-source data source plugins in partnership with cloud service providers (CSPs) and independent service vendors (ISVs). This is a full-time remote position; candidates should be located in US Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the querying experience within Grafana data sources
  • Investigate and resolve configuration issues for data source plugins
  • Support the reliability and operations of data sources in Grafana Cloud
  • Collaborate with engineers and teams across the Grafana division to design, build, and maintain open-source data source plugins

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a remote-first company; strong communication skills
  • Passion for building user-facing open-source software
  • Professional experience as a full-stack engineer with expertise in Go, React, TypeScript, and microservices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure (including Azure Portal and Azure Monitor)
  • Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations/SRE tasks
  • Backend technologies: Go and familiarity with other backend languages
  • Frontend technologies: React and TypeScript
  • Configuration technologies: Jsonnet and Terraform
  • Containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Monitoring and observability: familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or other observability platforms
  • Collaborative, curious, and motivated to grow in a highly technical environment
