Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source powerhouse with more than 20M users of the Grafana visualization tool. Grafana helps users understand systems and data through customizable dashboards and alerts and supports scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo). The Partner Data Sources squad builds and maintains open-source data source plugins in partnership with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), delivering high-quality plugins that enable Grafana users to query and visualize data directly from the database of their choice.

This is a full-time remote position for candidates in Canada (Eastern time zones).

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the querying experience within a Grafana data source
  • Investigate and resolve configuration issues
  • Support reliability and operations of data sources in Grafana Cloud
  • Collaborate with engineers and teams across the Grafana division
  • Work closely with CSPs and ISVs to implement and extend new APIs for plugins

Requirements

  • Professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer with expertise in Go, React, TypeScript, and microservices
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first company; strong communication skills
  • Passion for building user-facing open-source software
  • Familiarity with being on-call and performing operations / SRE tasks
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, including familiarity with the Azure Portal and Azure Monitor
  • Backend technologies: Go and familiarity with other backend languages
  • Frontend technologies: React and TypeScript
  • Configuration technologies: Jsonnet and Terraform
  • Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Monitoring and observability: familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus or other observability platforms

Compensation & Rewards

  • In Canada, the compensation range for this role is CAD 120,927 - CAD 145,113 (actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset). All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
