Full Stack Software Engineer - Billing

Responsibilities

• Build ClickHouse Cloud’s billing and metering platform - design and build mission-critical processes that literally keep the lights on.
• Create with purpose, with rationale for decisions throughout the creative process to empower the team to present ideas and sell solutions to peers and stakeholders.
• Deliver frameworks and platforms that are secure, efficient, mature, and highly available, abstracting away infrastructure complexity.
• Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal solutions.
• Integrate with a variety of systems (Billing, Metering, Logging, Monitoring, Support, etc.).

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant software development experience building front-end systems running on the cloud.
• 1+ years of experience building billing or metering systems.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Serverless, Node.js; proficiency in multiple languages encouraged.
• Experience with billing concepts, including credit card processing, usage-based billing, metering, CSP marketplaces (AWS MP, GCM, Azure MP), invoicing, sales tax, auditing, and record keeping.
• Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects collaboratively with experienced engineers.
• Full-cycle developer: strong ownership and experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems across the full software life cycle.
• Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offerings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and solid production debugging skills.
• Thrive in fast-paced environments and partner with business to move it forward.
• High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
