The Delegation Framework is a critical part of MetaMask’s mission, enabling flexible, secure, and composable permission structures on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and scale the TypeScript/Viem Delegation Toolkit SDK.
- Build advanced features within the Gator Permissions Snap in collaboration with MetaMask extension and Snap teams.
- Ensure compatibility and seamless integration across MetaMask browser extensions, mobile apps, and portfolio dApps.
- Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and the developer community to promote adoption of the Delegation Framework.
- Provide clear documentation, developer support, and create tutorials and examples to accelerate SDK adoption.
Requirements
- 5+ years fullstack engineering experience with strong frontend and SDK development emphasis.
- Extensive expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript, including frameworks like Viem and React.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining SDKs/libraries for third-party developers.
- Familiarity with Ethereum/EVM blockchain technologies, Web3.js, wagmi, ethers.js, or similar.
- Strong understanding of web security, blockchain fundamentals, and decentralized application architecture.
- Proven ability to design simple solutions to complex problems.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices including CI, testing, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Capability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
Bonus Points
- Familiarity with MetaMask’s Delegation Framework or other permission systems.
- Experience with account abstraction standards such as ERC-4337.
- Interest or experience in cross-chain integrations.
- Experience with browser extensions and MetaMask Snaps.
- Contributions to open-source or involvement in developer communities.
