About the team

Creating long-term value for our users is central to our mission at Stripe. The Global Alliances and Channels team focuses on driving joint go-to-market through industry-specific solutions with our most important partners, including Global Systems Integrators (GSIs) such as Accenture, PwC, Infosys, and others, in addition to our strategic technology partners, including Guidewire, Salesforce, SAP, AWS and others, to ultimately deliver joint value to our users. Our objective is to ensure users have access to the broadest set of Stripe solutions and the deepest set of technology and industry experts, while at the same time ensuring our partners and Stripe build large, mutually beneficial businesses together.

What you’ll do

As the Global Strategic Alliances Leader for the Insurance industry, you will focus on driving the partner strategy for the Financial Services Insurance industry, while delivering the credibility and thought leadership needed to build relationships with our partners’ Insurance industry practices to grow the value of our joint business specific to Insurance. Aligned with our Industry GTM and Product teams, this role is also responsible for the creation of relevant, value-centric solutions, supporting our users, and generating new sources of value for users and Stripe.

You will be in tight alignment with our Industry GTM and Product teams and also collaborate with the core sales, solution architects, and product marketing teams.

You will work to define and align solutions geared toward the Insurance industry with select partners and broader customer and digital transformation initiatives where agentic commerce, payments, and billing are cornerstones. Success is measured by new user acquisition and revenue growth led and delivered by this cohort of partners. As an expert in Insurance, this leader will bring immediate credibility when engaging with senior executives in our partners’ industry practices.

Responsibilities

  • Own identifying, prioritizing, and engaging with key Insurance partners to build a global ecosystem that powers Stripe’s leadership in the industry.
  • Accelerate the Stripe GTM strategy for the next wave of Insurance growth through the creation of partner solutions with our top partners.
  • Own the overall partner plan to drive execution across enablement, solutions, marketing, investments, and GTM initiatives.
  • Engage with the senior leaders of Stripe across product and go-to-market teams to align and influence strategy and roadmaps.
  • Work with partners to embed Stripe in our partner Insurance solutions and drive incremental pipeline via their routes to market.
  • Engage deeply with the Stripe field teams to drive top-of-funnel and partner-led initiatives.
  • Ensure partners are well-equipped to deliver the highest quality solutions and services offerings.
  • Evangelize our top partners internally across Stripe and externally with users, analysts, and influencers.
  • Enterprise selling – continue to stay engaged with account teams until the deal is signed and activated.
  • Work in partnership with product and GTM teams to engage partners to provide insights to continue to shape industry-leading solutions.

Who you are

The Global Strategic Alliances Lead for Insurance will be an experienced professional with strong business strategy, business development, and partner go-to-market business model experience. You are capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of our partners’ organization.

You’re an organized self-starter, an excellent communicator who is highly analytical and has a track record for improving the processes and organizations around you. You like to roll up your sleeves and make things happen.

Minimum requirements

  • 8+ years of experience leading field/partner teams with at least 4 years of global experience.
  • Strong enterprise background delivering complex, innovative solutions at scale.
  • Deep experience partnering with large systems integrators (Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, Infosys, etc.).
  • Proven experience with enterprise software and services platforms including AWS, Salesforce, Microsoft, and similar products.
  • Deep Industry experience with Financial Services Insurance.
  • Strong track record of exceeding customer acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Proven ability to present and evangelize new products and solutions to executives (business and technical) and external audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional global teams, including product and sales.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Banking, FinTech, Crypto is highly desirable.
  • Experience defining and implementing new business models.
  • Experience in a top-tier Global SI firm or Enterprise Cloud Software firm.
  • Start-up and early-stage company experience with demonstrated success growing customer adoption and top-line revenue globally.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in our Bucharest, Romania site have an 80% in-office expectation, and those in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico and Bengaluru, India work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $187,800 - $281,800. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
