Within Eneco Energy Trading, the Virtual Power Plant (VPP), branded Myriad, aggregates and optimizes both large front-of-the-meter assets (wind, solar, batteries, CHP) and thousands of distributed behind-the-meter assets from B2B and B2C portfolios. This platform unlocks flexibility, provides grid services, and delivers value across multiple energy markets in the Netherlands and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end product leadership over the Virtual Power Plant and trade technology landscape.
• Lead 5–7 cross-functional product teams, including the mission-critical platform team responsible for real-time operations.
• Expand the VPP footprint internationally, strengthen platform resilience, and elevate digital infrastructure performance, security, and scale.
• Lead product developments focused on trading analytics, forecasting, trading & structuring, and optimization tooling.
• Drive international expansion of the VPP across new markets and asset types.
• Lead the product vision and execution ensuring support for a growing volume and diversity of assets.
• Oversee development of new asset optimization platform and improve core trading landscape.
• Build partnerships with engineering, security, and vendor teams to secure a robust IT/OT setup.
• Ensure platform meets highest mission criticality and security standards, including day-2 operations.
• Collaborate with system operators, aggregators, and flexibility markets.
• Contribute to Eneco’s battery storage strategy enabling commercial steering and large-scale integration into Myriad.

Requirements

• Senior experience in product leadership, preferably with mission-critical systems or platform development.
• Understanding of energy flexibility, distributed energy resources, and operational tech.
• Extreme ownership and readiness to take responsibility.
• Experience leading multiple product teams, aligning strategy, and driving delivery.
• Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on ownership.
• Comfortable navigating engineering, commercial, security, and vendor discussions.
• Driven by scaling impactful systems for grid, energy transition, and customers.

Benefits

• Gross annual salary between €110,000 and €145,000 including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and possible bonus or profit sharing.
