The ChatGPT team works across research, engineering, product, and design to bring OpenAI’s technology to the world. We seek to learn from deployment and broadly distribute the benefits of AI while ensuring responsible and safe use. The ChatGPT Growth team is building the systems that power OpenAI’s paid marketing channels and spend efficiency. This role is for an experienced fullstack engineer to design and implement foundational MarTech infrastructure that makes marketing investments more effective, measurable, and automated.

Responsibilities

• Drive long-term growth of ChatGPT by building the technical infrastructure behind OpenAI’s paid marketing platform.
• Design and deploy backend APIs, data pipelines, and services to support campaign management, attribution, and spend optimization.
• Develop campaign management tools and integrate with major ad platforms.
• Build real-time attribution and reporting pipelines and enable experimentation frameworks to optimize objectives.
• Execute projects by working closely with growth marketing, data science, product, and other engineering teams to land measurable impact on growth goals.
• Create a diverse and inclusive culture that enables radical candor and constructive challenge of group-think.

Requirements

• Experienced fullstack engineer capable of designing and shipping systems for marketing/growth use cases.
• Hands-on experience building attribution pipelines, campaign management tools, or integrations with major ad platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing A/B tests and experimentation frameworks, with a scientific approach to data-driven experiments.
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to define and track business metrics and KPIs for growth initiatives.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing conditions; able to turn ambiguous business goals into robust technical systems.
• Ability to collaborate closely with growth marketing, data science, product, and engineering teams.
