About the Role
As Sentry’s Head of IT, you will design, build, and manage the company’s growing SaaS technology ecosystem—ensuring availability, reliability, and security for a global workforce. You will partner with organizational leaders to define priorities and implement solutions across tools, systems, networks, and technical support, while championing IT security and delivering an excellent experience for employees. As a people leader, you will coach and inspire your team.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT operations across tools, systems, networks, and endpoint management for a global, hybrid workforce.
- Define, prioritize, and execute IT initiatives to improve collaboration, cost-effectiveness, compliance, and security at enterprise scale.
- Design and scale IT Operations and Corporate Infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.
- Partner with the Security organization to design, deploy, and operate IT security solutions protecting corporate infrastructure and data.
- Manage vendor relationships and identify opportunities to optimize costs through efficient operations and rationalized investments.
- Consult with stakeholders to translate business and technology needs into actionable IT strategies.
- Partner with Workplace teams and lead office build-outs as the company expands operations.
- Monitor and optimize delivery and operation of IT services; proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Provide metrics and KPIs to gauge service delivery effectiveness and inform decision-making.
- Provide direction, guidance, and training to global IT staff; foster a culture of learning and growth.
- Deploy and manage solutions across offices in multiple time zones and countries.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IT operations overseeing high-impact projects; Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience leading multiple technical teams across geographies.
- Expert-level understanding of computer systems, network and systems administration, identity systems, and telecommunications systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Proven experience operating and managing security and automation programs; experience configuring and deploying identity and access management and MDM solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based IAM and IdP solutions, including Okta, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Azure AD (Entra ID); familiarity with SSO, SAML, and SCIM.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems such as Kandji, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf.
- Experience managing IT assets including endpoints, office networking, and A/V conferencing systems.
- Experience with IT aspects of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments and implementing data governance best practices.
- Knowledge or experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (such as Terraform), information security, and security engineering is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $200,000 to $250,000 (actual salary determined by location, experience, and other factors).
- Eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs, including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
Work Model
- Hybrid work model with specified in-office anchor days (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). Role supports global collaboration and deployment across multiple time zones.
