You not only create opportunities as Head of Security to provide even better help to our customers, you also ensure that these are implemented. In this role you report to the CIO as well as the Security Board, lead a team of Information Security Managers, and are part of a large international security team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and safeguard the company-wide Cyber Security Strategy for Essent
• Provide functional leadership to the information security organization across all entities
• Implement E.ON’s security policies and standards within Essent
• Bring clarity and cohesion to the security activities of more than 60 companies
• Lead security programs, audits, and awareness initiatives
• Advise the executive board, regulators, and group-wide bodies on risk acceptance and compliance
• Represent Essent in international governance structures and public-private partnerships

Requirements

• Academic working and thinking level (IT, Security or similar)
• At least 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, including several years at CISO or ISO level
• Experience in complex, decentralized organizations
• Knowledge of governance and compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, PG05
• Experience in security programs, audits, and security awareness initiatives
• Experience in application development (experience with (i)OT is a plus)
• Strong leadership qualities and experience in change management
• Excellent command of Dutch and English (German is a plus)
• Certifications such as CISM and/or CISSP are a plus

• A gross monthly salary between €9,000 and €11,000
