Joining Collibra’s Corporate IT Enterprise Architecture team

We’re hiring an IT Integration & AI Automation Engineer to join Corporate IT’s Enterprise Architecture team. You’ll work across Automations/Integrations, Analytics, PMO, and Architecture to build integrations, automate workflows, and embed LLM-powered capabilities (copilots, RAG, agents) into our internal tools so teams can work smarter and faster.

This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build cloud-based integrations and automations using iPaaS (examples: Workato, Mulesoft, Boomi) and APIs across typical core SaaS stack.
  • Partner with business teams to understand processes and turn them into scalable, secure, and well-documented workflows.
  • Create AI-powered flows that use LLMs to classify, summarize, route, and enrich business data and workflows.
  • Help design and support internal AI assistants/agents, connecting them safely to systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, HR and Finance tools.
  • Own troubleshooting, monitoring, and continuous improvement for your integrations and AI workflows.
  • Provide input on automation architecture and best practices; support platform adoption by evangelizing integration capabilities and promoting standardized use across teams.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business leaders to prioritize integration roadmaps, define success metrics, and ensure alignment with operational and strategic business objectives.
  • Review and approve integration designs, documentation, and testing protocols developed by junior and mid-level IT team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a Software/Integration Engineer or similar, with 3+ years on an iPaaS (Workato strongly preferred; Boomi/MuleSoft or similar OK).
  • Proven experience integrating major SaaS applications (examples: Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Gainsight, Zendesk, Marketo).
  • Strong grasp of APIs and data (REST, JSON, webhooks, SQL) and scripting in JavaScript or Python.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM/AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) and basic concepts like RAG, embeddings, and prompt design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Role is not visa-eligible.

You Are

  • Builder mindset: you like to ship, iterate, and improve real systems used every day.
  • Comfortable moving between big-picture architecture and detailed implementation.
  • Strong collaborator who can work with IT, HR, Finance, GTM, Security, and Data teams.
  • Business-first: you care about impact on users, time saved, quality improved—not just tech.
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical and AI concepts to non-technical audiences.

Measures of success

Within your first month:

  • Develop a solid understanding of our systems landscape, integration patterns, AI platforms, and key business processes.
  • Build relationships with partners across Automations/Integrations, Analytics, PMO, Architecture, and key business teams.

Within your third month:

  • Deliver your first production-ready integrations and/or AI-powered workflows, from design through deployment.
  • Take ownership of one or more high-impact automation or AI assistant initiatives, working closely with stakeholders.
  • Implement improvements in monitoring, alerting, or runbooks that enhance reliability and supportability.

Within your sixth month:

  • Operate independently in your domain, leading integration and AI automation efforts with minimal oversight.
  • Deliver multi-system, AI-enhanced solutions that positively affect measurable business outcomes (e.g., cycle time, data quality, employee experience).
  • Help shape the roadmap and backlog for integrations, automations, and AI use cases, influencing priorities based on impact and effort.
