The COO Risk team translates complex banking business exposures into impacts on risk weighted assets and provisions, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and regulatory requirements. The team is part of the Credit Risk Modelling organization and covers activities from credit risk modelling approach definition through post-production monitoring. This internship offers the chance to learn end-to-end bank processes, products, related credit risk exposures, and the supporting technology solutions, while collaborating across functions.
Responsibilities
- Understand the bigger picture and collaborate across functions and business lines.
- Optimize processes, seek solutions, and contribute to risk modelling-related coordination between teams.
- Contribute to ongoing activities from a business analyst or change expert perspective.
- Deliver complete solutions for requested changes, including construction, change and implementation of new requirements and streamlining existing processes.
Requirements (How to succeed)
- Currently following a Master degree with a focus on Finance, Risk, Engineering and/or Business.
- Understanding of process modelling and end-to-end implementation.
- Experience in project management and coordination (or strong interest/developing experience as an intern).
- Affinity with technology and awareness of latest developments; you will closely collaborate with IT.
- Ability to take fact-based decisions and to be persuasive when facing resistance.
- Ability to find simple solutions for complex problems.
- Team player but capable of working independently.
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
