Details

We are looking for a communications intern to join the consumer experience team within Global Infrastructure (IT infrastructure). In this role you will support communications to a large technical audience across ING, helping shape how we communicate and engage with developers and engineers who use our infrastructure services. You will contribute to designing and building a central communications hub and help teams improve how they communicate with their consumer base. This is an excellent opportunity to apply classroom knowledge and gain strategic communication experience in a tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and build of a central communications hub to help teams easily access resources, templates, and guidelines to improve their communications.
  • Collaborate with team members to create clear, engaging content for technical audiences.
  • Review and suggest improvements to content to ensure clarity, consistency and alignment with standards.
  • Gather feedback from teams to identify challenges and improve resources.
  • Become familiar with corporate communication guidelines, tone of voice, and processes across Global Infrastructure and ING.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at a Dutch university (or an EU university if you hold an EU passport) for the duration of the internship (mandatory).
  • Strong English writing and editing skills.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint and other Microsoft products.
  • An eye for detail to spot inconsistencies and ensure accuracy and clarity in communications and content.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to suggest ideas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Comfortable working with a range of team members across different disciplines.
  • An interest in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.

How to succeed

  • Stay curious and keep learning.
  • Take on responsibility and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues (communications, learning & development, technical writers, consultants).

Rewards and benefits

  • Internship allowance of 700 EUR based on a 36 hours work week (stipend stated in the advert).
  • Your own work laptop.
  • Hybrid working to blend home working for focus and office working for collaboration and co-creation.
  • Personal growth opportunities and challenging work.
  • An informal working environment with innovative colleagues.

Additional information

  • Location indicated: HLW (Amsterdam - Haarlemmerweg). The role is full-time, based on a 36 hours work week.
  • To apply, upload your CV and motivation letter via the 'Apply' button or contact the recruiter attached to the advertisement.
