Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product and design teams to design and develop key Trust & Safety features on the iOS app
  • Collaborate with Android and Web engineers to develop foundational, cross-platform solutions such as the friction framework
  • Contribute to core metrics including developer experience, velocity, debuggability, performance, and reliability
  • Partner with Airbnb product teams to understand pain points, pilot solutions, and drive adoption of tooling and frameworks
  • Participate in all phases of software development including architecture/design, implementation, and testing
  • Support teammates in code quality, operational excellence, and shared learning

Requirements

  • 2-5 years industry experience in native iOS development
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience creating and maintaining iOS libraries/SDKs used by other iOS engineers
  • Experience in the Fraud/Trust domain is a plus
  • Extensive experience with Swift, iOS Applications, GraphQL, and REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of client networking, performance, caching, client storage, accessibility, and asynchronous programming
  • Strong communication skills and experience working across complex engineering interfaces
  • Motivated collaborator who engages in code reviews and architecture discussions
  • Bonus: Experience with SwiftUI, bundlers, testing frameworks, editor integrations, frontend build/CI systems, observability tooling, or developer environments

Benefits

  • Role may be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits
  • Base pay range is $157,000 to $180,600, subject to factors such as training, skills, experience, business needs, and market demands

Location

  • US remote eligible; occasional onsite or offsite attendance possible
  • Must reside in a US state where Airbnb, Inc. is registered (check exclusions)
